Galena 2026 Bicentennial

Proceeds from the 2026 Bicentennial Events will be used to establish a Recreation Park Fund to help pay for improvements to Galena's Recreation Park as well as the various pocket parks throughout Galena.  Many of the playgrounds have been upgraded, but some still need attention - and financing.

Galena does not have a Park District, so establishing a non-profit fund to help offset the taxpayers' expenses seemed appropriate, and there are currently some projects underway that are short of funds.
